CLOVER PROJ
CLOVER PROJECT (or just CLOVER) is an OCverse created by me, MEXI! It's set on Earth after a solar apocalypse, but more specifically follows a group of teenagers who live in a military training academy isolated from the world around them.Eventually I hope to tell the story of CLOVER in the medium of an RPGmaker game, but for now it's merely an amalgamation of ideas in my brain. I hope you enjoy what there is to learn!

There are six major characters in my current vision of CLOVER's story. The protagonist is a reserved boy named VICTOR, accompanied by the deuteragonist and namesake of the story, his childhood best friend CLOVER.Other major characters are JASMINE, CLOVER's twin sister, and the main antagonist BEA, a girl who bullies VICTOR. Under BEA's command are two side characters, MILO and PIT.

VICTOR
16 · He/him
HEIGHT: 5'5 (166cm)
BIRTHDAY: October 17
LIKES: Clover, skygazing, reading
DISLIKES: Being alone, hypocrites, examinations
VICTOR (or VIC) is a reserved but idealistic boy. Because he always speaks his mind yet remains somewhat of an underperformer in examinations, he tends to get himself into trouble often. When he was young, he somehow piqued the interest of the academy's heir, CLOVER, and the two became best friends. He has never had a great reputation with any of his classmates, but in particular he has always found himself getting harassed by BEA and her lackeys. Many a time it was necessary for CLOVER to step in and chase her off, causing him to feel indebted to him—not only this, but he also admires CLOVER both for his talent and his confidence. If not for CLOVER's prestigious position (and his fondness for the boy), it's likely VICTOR would have been expelled from the academy long ago for his misconduct and lackluster ability.

CLOVER
16 · He/him
HEIGHT: 5'6 (167cm)
BIRTHDAY: January 11
LIKES: Teasing people, exploring, reading, his family
DISLIKES: Being told what to do, boredom
CLOVER is the genius son of the academy's director, thereby making him the successor to quite to quite the unsavory business. He is free-spirited, mischievous, and arrogant, but tends to have a special enthusiasm for whom and what he takes interest in.He takes his greater (and less pleasant) responsibilities very seriously, yet he consistently shirks things he redeems unimportant because of his position at the school and his eccentric personality. His twin sister, JASMINE, often has to begrudgingly step in to keep him in line. His loyalty to his family, likewise, runs very deep. Being pragmatic and ruthless, he would do—and has done—anything to keep his sister safe and serve the director.

JASMINE
16 · She/her
HEIGHT: 5'6 (168cm)
BIRTHDAY: January 11
LIKES: Training, cleaning, animals, tea
DISLIKES: Herself
JASMINE is the twin sister of CLOVER and another excelling student at the military academy her mother operates. She is to-the-point and much more responsible than her brother, but as a result ends up having to pick up his slack frequently. In addition, she's one of the few unafraid to give CLOVER a harsh scolding, and is more than a bit insecure about how their mother prefers him over her.She is the top of her class, competing fiercely with another girl named BEA. She is rather indifferent to the feud and even considers herself and BEA to be on friendly terms, though BEA believes very fervently to the contrary. She can edge on the airheaded side in certain situations.
.
BEA
17 · She/her
HEIGHT: 5'7 (171cm)
BIRTHDAY: February 22
LIKES: Chocolate, training, studying
DISLIKES: Wasting time, lazy people
Bitter and no-nonsense, BEA is a top-performing student at the academy and the bully of VICTOR. She has a rather moody disposition and never tolerates slacking or meaningless chit-chat, prioritizing success over all else. She antagonizes VICTOR since he performs poorly in examinations and yet gets special treatment for being friends with CLOVER.Her lackeys are PIT, who is able to put up with her sour personality and has a distaste for injustice, and MILO, a transfer student who is overly eager to make friends. However, BEA finds little value in friendship and doesn't put much effort into actually getting to know them. She has a rivalry with JASMINE, who is her academic equal, but it seems to be onesided.

PIT
17 · He/him
HEIGHT: 5'4 (163cm)
BIRTHDAY: December 30
LIKES: Fashion, philosophy, carving
DISLIKES: Injustice, brushing his hair
PIT is a brusque, thoughtful boy who values justice. Although he has a rather withdrawn personality, he is anything but passive—he scores well on examinations and assists BEA in her torment of VICTOR since he agrees with the basis of it. However, he doesn't follow BEA blindly and is even brave enough to confront her when she steps out of line. The two have been acquainted for many years but always keep each other at arm's length. His piercings are a subject of rumors among the students at the academy, since contact with the outside world is extremely limited. Paired with his mysterious, detached disposition, it's enough to keep him somewhat isolated from his peers—though if you asked him, he wouldn't claim to mind. Being a fellow lackey of BEA, he frequently interacts with MILO, but their friendship is likewise limited.
.
MILO
15 · She/her
HEIGHT: 5'3 (160cm)
BIRTHDAY: February 2
LIKES: Attention, sports, gossip, candy
DISLIKES: Waking up early, standing still
MILO is a gullible and happy-go-lucky but ultimately kindhearted young girl. She tends to depend on other people emotionally and is eager to please them. This is how she came to be a lackey of BEA, though she considers them to be friends. She's unusual from the other kids at the academy in that she only joined them recently. As such, she sometimes violates certain conventions that have been established there, and is therefore seen as a bit of a klutz or airhead. She is physically capable and performs well in examinations, however, which is perhaps why BEA sought her out as a subordinate. She's on decent terms with PIT, who is also one of BEA's lackeys, but prefers the company of BEA.
.
There are several other characters that attend the academy and interact with major characters, but are comparatively less integral to the story of CLOVER. Such characters are much more subject to design and personality changes and might be added to this section at a later date.

The story of CLOVER is split into several parts. The story is not fully finalized, but this is the basis:
.
PREMISE (PROLOGUE)
VICTOR, a timid student attending a military academy, is being bullied by his peers, who have locked him outside in the heat. The world outside, what remains of Earth after a solar apocalypse, is nothing but dust and harsh sun for miles, and venturing beyond the limits of the academy would spell certain death. After being abandoned in the heat for several hours, he is saved by his childhood best friend, CLOVER.
.
CLOVER insists that they track down BEA, his bully, and confront her. With CLOVER's help, they teach her a lesson, and she and her lackeys are forced to retreat. Soonafter they're dealt with, CLOVER suddenly lets him in on a secret: he was going to be escaping the academy that night.
.
VICTOR thinks little of it until the next day when CLOVER is indeed nowhere to be found. The bullies take the opportunity to prey on him again now that CLOVER is gone, and we learn the reason they are tormenting VICTOR: he is flunking his examinations, which normally means expulsion; however, since he's friends with the DIRECTOR's son, CLOVER, he remains unscathed.
.
VICTOR is soon approached by JASMINE, the twin sister of CLOVER, who is concerned about her brother's whereabouts. She convinces him to accompany her on an expedition to find him by the request of her mother, the DIRECTOR.
.
Though they bicker about various things, the two set out and eventually find CLOVER wounded in an empty gas station. However, they are attacked by a strange, grotesque enemy, and VICTOR passes out. When he wakes, the twins are talking and it's evident they know far more about the situation than VICTOR, who demands answers (to little avail).
.
Due to various factors, the trio camps out in the abandoned gas station for the night. The next morning, they are attacked again, and this time VICTOR is forced to learn how to fight against the monster. They head back to the academy.
.
When the trio finally return, they discover the DIRECTOR dead in her office. The story of CLOVER explores the repercussions of this event, which turns the academy to chaos.
.
Other themes explored in CLOVER are: the limits of loyalty, idealization and cult conditioning, the nature of humanity, selfishness vs selflessness, the desire for acceptance, and more.

KEYWORDS
EXAMINATION: a regularly administrated test of a student's prowess at both physical and intelligence-based tasks.
DISPATCH: leaving the academy. most commonly used when referring to a student's expulsion, but also used for officially approved expeditions.
EXPULSION: a student's removal from the protection of the academy. because the outside world is so harsh, expulsion might as well be certain death for a student.
THE DIRECTOR: oversees all activity at the academy. she's extremely capable and ruthless. no one knows how she came to found the academy or why she runs it the way she does, but very few dare to question her.* under construction.
